
ZTE held a big launch event earlier today in China where it announced its latest Axon smartphone and tablet – Axon 50 Ultra and Axon Tab. Both devices are equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, 80W charging, and ZTE’s MyOS 13 boot.
ZTE Axon 50 Ultra
The Axon 50 Ultra brings two-way satellite messaging over the Beidou Satellite (BDS) infrastructure with the ability to send and receive SMS messages in areas without adequate network connectivity. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset with LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and an upgraded ZTE security chip with hardware-level encryption.


ZTE Axon 50 Ultra specifications and design
Axon 50 Ultra comes with a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. The back houses a 64MP Sony IMX787 main sensor with OIS, a 50MP telephoto module with 3x optical zoom and a 50MP ultrawide camera. MyOS 13 has Android 13 and a 5,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging, pricing and availability not yet known.
ZTE Axon Pillow
ZTE Axon Pad is a 12.1 inch Android tablet with IPS LCD screen resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels with 120Hz refresh rate. The board is also equipped with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and ZTE security chip. The tablet supports 5G connectivity, pen input, and a smart magnetic keyboard sold separately.


ZTE Axon Pad key specifications and design
The Axon Pad features a massive 10,000mAh battery with 80W charging. It runs Android 13 based MyOS 13. It weighs 605 grams and is just 6.5mm thick. ZTE has not shared any pricing and availability details for the Axon unit.
