The Vivo X Flip is expected to arrive this month in an event that should also give us the vivo X Fold2 and vivo Pad 2. The company’s first foldable clamshell has appeared in some leaked and render images, but today we have official images, giving us our best look yet.

Pictures of Chinese actress Wang Ziwen with the X Flip appeared on Weibo, revealing the large screen, dual-camera island, and the purple version emblazoned with a diamond pattern. Reports are one of three colours, the other two being black and gold.

The images reveal that the Cover screen is practically end-to-end with slightly curved corners. The circular camera island hosts two shooters and the Zeiss logo, while the LED flash is located on the right side. The current trend in smartphones is for the sides to be flat, but the X Flip keeps it traditional with a body that’s slightly curved on all four sides.

We can’t actually tell the size of the phone by the actress’s hands. However, we expect a 6.8-inch foldable display on the inside, which is the same diagonal as the Find N2 Flip and slightly larger than the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Moto Razr 2022 but slightly smaller than the Huawei P50 Pocket.

The launch is clearly just around the corner, and we expect vivo to confirm the launch date soon, then teasers follow for more details on the upcoming devices.
