If you are not Expect the bunny to drop a basket full of goodies this weekend, you can still spoil yourself. Some of our favorite Amazon devices, like the Kindle e-readers and Fire HD tablets, are now on sale. (Even aim for some discounted Easter candy early, if you’re craving a peep.) Check out our roundup of deals from earlier this week, too, where some of our favorite outdoor and fitness gear are still on sale.
Special Offer for Gear Readers: Get One year subscription to Wired for $5 ($25 off). This includes unlimited access to Wired.com and our print magazine (if you like it). Subscriptions help fund the work we do every day.

The Paperwhite is our favorite Kindle (and favorite e-reader in general). Lined with slimmer bezels, the 6.8-inch screen gets brighter than in years past, and it’s faster, too. It’s also easy to hold in one hand while lounging in the shower or pool (it’s waterproof!). That price is for 8GB of storage, but there’s also a 16GB version. The Signature Edition is discounted to $140 ($50 off). It has 32 gigs (great for audiobooks), warm lighting, and automatic brightness adjustment (8/10, WIRED recommends).
The Kids Edition of the Paperwhite is also the Kindle’s choice for little ones. You get pretty much the same features as the standard model, including waterproofing. Since this is a kids’ model, you also get a year’s subscription to Amazon Kids+, a library of kid-friendly content with parental controls, plus a case, and a two-year no-questions-asked replacement warranty if it breaks. You can choose between 8 and 16 GB of storage. There’s a cheaper kids’ model that’s discounted to $80 ($40 off), but this one isn’t waterproof.
If you don’t need the waterproofing, you can get the lowest-priced base Kindle model for $80 right now. It has a smaller 6-inch screen and a smaller body all around—it’s 4.3 inches wide, compared to the Paperwhite’s 4.9 inches. It doesn’t have a warm light and can’t automatically adjust the front lighting, but it does the basics: You can easily read e-books with minimal fuss.

Check out our best TV streaming devices and best Amazon Fire Tablets guides for other picks.
This is the selling price we often see for this streaming device. It largely caters to Amazon Prime TV content, but you can stream from all the major services like Netflix and Hulu. If you already had the previous Fire TV Stick 4K, you don’t need to upgrade, but this Max version adds features like picture-in-picture to see who rings your video doorbell while you binge. The wonderful Mrs. Maisel. 4K Max is also available at Target for the same price.
If you need a tablet for casual use and prefer not to spend a small fortune, the Fire HD 8 (6/10, WIRED Review) will satisfy you. This 2022 model offers a faster processor than its predecessor, which is enough to run most applications and games effortlessly. The screen is still a bit narrow and low-res, so take a look at the Fire HD 10 (see below) if you want more screen real estate.
Like Amazon’s version of the Kindle Kids, the kids’ version has all the same features as the regular Fire HD 8 except that it’s housed in a sturdy case, comes with a one-year Amazon Kids+ warranty, and has a two-year warranty.
This is our favorite of the Amazon Fire tablets (7/10, WIRED recommends). The Fire HD 10 has a larger and brighter screen than its siblings, so it’s good for watching movies. If you’re already a fan of Alexa, Amazon’s voice assistant is here, too. However, if you want to work on this, don’t plan on using any of the Google apps, as they are not supported (there is a workaround). The 32GB Fire HD 10 is also discounted from Target. If you can spend a little more, the Fire HD 10 Plus is discounted to $120 ($60). It adds one more gigabyte of RAM (4 instead of 3) and support for wireless charging.

Read our guides to the best Android phones and the best Google Pixel phones for more recommendations.
The Pixel 6A (8/10, WIRED recommends) is our favorite Pixel for most people. While this phone can sometimes go for as low as $449, it’s often around $299. It has older camera hardware, but it still takes great pictures for the money. Running almost any app and game is incredibly powerful, and the AMOLED screen is really nice to look at, and looks like it’s worth several hundred dollars more.
If you can spend a little more, the Pixel 7 (8/10, WIRED recommends) is one of the best values out there. It’s not very big and has a 90Hz AMOLED screen. The battery lasts a full day, and it takes excellent pictures with the main and ultrawide cameras. Read our guide to the best Google Pixel phones for more details.

Read our guides to the best sound machines and the best espresso machines for more information.
This is our favorite sound machine if you want to fall asleep to basic noise like fans, or a spectrum of pink, brown, and white noise (no birds chirping here). It has a nice sound range and a 60 minute timer. The LectroFan is also small enough that it doesn’t have to crowd small bedside tables.
Keurigs doesn’t make gourmet coffee, but if you’re not a picky eater or just want something for those mornings when there’s nothing more to do than inserting a pod, this is a good choice. It takes up very little space and comes in several beautiful colors, including a stunning green.
Digital frames have come a long way since the early 2000s, and I would love to have one in my house. Nixplay offers great options. We prefer the 10.1-inch bezel, but this 8-inch model looks just as beautiful as the others, and you can choose between gold or silver trim.
