
Although we live in a golden age star Wars series, three new big screen projects are sure to be in the works that will each tell epic stories from different points in the franchise’s history.
in star Wars Celebrating Europe today, Daisy Ridley joined Kathleen Kennedy on stage as she announced that James Mangold, Dave Filoni, and Sharmaine Obaid-Chinoy are all set to direct three upcoming films. star Wars Movies scheduled to be released in the coming years. Although no titles or premiere dates were revealed, Kennedy shared that Mangold’s film will return “to the dawn of the Jedi” while the Filoni film, which focuses on the New Republic, will tie directly into streaming series like Ahsoka, The MandalorianAnd Boba Fett book.
Perhaps most interestingly, the Obaid-Chinoy film will see Ridley return as Ray Skywalker builds a New Jedi Order from the ground up after the events of Celestial Rise. There’s no telling when, exactly, these new films will hit theaters or if another proper trilogy is in the works, but suffice it to say that star Wars Fans will be eating (most likely well) for the foreseeable future.
