TL; DR
- Official press renders of the ASUS ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate have been leaked.
- The launch date is set for April 13th.
- The leak reveals some specifications of the base and Ultimate models.
ASUS said last month that it will unveil and launch the ROG Phone 7 family on April 13th. However, a leak seems to have overwhelmed the company.
As he discovered it WinFutureOfficial marketing offers intended for the press appear to have surfaced. Although the leak consists of images only and contains no details, it gives us our best look yet at both the Ultimate and Base models. The images directly below are the ROG Phone 7, and the gallery below is the Ultimate images.
According to the outlet, both versions of the phone are expected to come with a 6.8-inch 165Hz AMOLED display. It is also said to pack a large 6,000mAh battery. As for the cameras, there should be a 50MP main camera, a 13MP ultra-wide camera, and a 5MP macro camera.
As with previous iterations, the differences between the two models appear to be minor. One factor that might differentiate the two is the amount of memory, but it is unclear if this is the case. However, some noticeable differences seem to be the reduced screen and the small black square on the back.
The black square is actually a flap designed to be used with ASUS’ AeroActive Gateway. This accessory is a fan unit that attaches to the cover, flushing the CPU with air. This will allow for better CPU cooling during gaming sessions which could cause the system to overheat.
