TL; DR
- Motorola Moto G Power 5G (2023) is available with 5G support for the first time.
- Other than the addition of 5G, the phone is very similar to previous devices in the line.
- You can buy it in the US for $299 starting April 13th.
The Moto G line is a great place to start when you need an inexpensive Android phone. Motorola fills the Moto G family with budget devices that still offer some of the essential features you need.
Motorola Moto G Power 5G (2023) continues this trend. It offers the usual feature of the G Power line: a massive 5,000mAh battery. But for the first time ever, it also has 5G support, which is a great feature.
Elsewhere, you get a slight uptick in screen quality with a 120Hz refresh rate. Previous models peaked at 90 Hz. However, you won’t find many other advantages over previous models here. Check out the specification table below for all the details and go over pricing and availability.

Pricing and availability

Motorola Moto G Power 5G (2023) comes in two finishes: Metallic Black and Pearl White. Either way, the 128GB model will start at $299. You can buy it in the US starting April 13, 2023.
However, at some point in the future, you’ll be able to get one from select US carriers, including Metro by T-Mobile, Spectrum Mobile, and Xfinity Mobile. Motorola didn’t have a set timeline for releasing these versions, unfortunately.
Our friends up north in Canada could get their hands on the phone “in the coming months.” Stay tuned!
