You add Disney Plus to Roku the same way you add any channel – through broadcast channels Store on the home screen. Open it, search for “Disney”, select the channel from the results and install.
There are a few things to note. Once you open the app, you will be asked to log in (if you are already a subscriber) or register (if you are not). If you are allowed to sign up directly through the app instead of on the web, your subscription will be billed and managed by Roku. More on this in a moment.
Most Roku TVs and additional streaming devices are compatible, but you’ll need more advanced hardware to take advantage of standards like 4K resolution, HDR, and/or Dolby Atmos surround sound. How to cancel Disney Plus on Roku
It’s usually best to sign up for Disney Plus over the web, since you’ll be billed independently — making it easier to keep track of expenses — and entering data via mouse, keyboard, or touch controls is faster than using a remote control. You’ll have to cancel via the web as well, if that’s how you signed up.
However, if (and only if) you subscribe directly through Roku, it’s incredibly easy to cancel:
- On the Roku home screen, highlight Disney Plus in your channel list.
- push the star / asterisk button on the remote control.

If you have an older Roku product, you may need to use the audio and subtitle menus on the video description page. The drawback, of course, is that you’re stuck with which to choose once you’ve played the video.

Some Roku devices may hide the option under different menus, such as Accessibility and comments.
