Just because Disney launches Peter Pan Wendy Straight to Disney+, doesn’t want you to think less of what it describes as an “epic movie event.” A new trailer suggests this latest version of the David Lowry-boss A remarkable visual feast Green Knight—as much of the saga as possible will be crammed into your TV.
Peter Pan Wendy Inspired by both the JM Barrie novel and Disney’s 1953 animated film, you get to witness all the iconic moments, characters, and visual flourishes involved, with top-notch special effects that bring everything to life. It also looks like this story-driven game will focus specifically on its familiar theme of maturity versus immaturity (Captain Hook, played by Jude Law, is called out for being very old) – and the passage of time indicated by the terrifying Tick Tock sign has rarely seemed so filled with death. Still, there’s a lot of whimsy at play here, and it looks like a lot of pirate shenanigans, too.
With a cast that also includes Alexander Moloney, Ever Anderson, Yara Shahidi, Alyssa Wapanatak, Joshua Pickering, Jacoby Jobe, Molly Parker, Alan Tudyk and Jim Gaffigan, Peter Pan Wendy Streaming April 28th on Disney+.
