Creality is one of the biggest names in 3D printing and has been for the past five years. the Ender 3 One of, if not the most successful, 3D printers of all time, Creality printers are often on the list. The best 3D printers. This year Creality celebrates its 9th anniversary by launching its latest flagship 3D printer, K1and a range of new products.
It looks very similar to Bamboo Lab X1 CarbonThe K1, or Voron, is a CoreXY 3D printer in which the print area moves downward during printing, rather than in and out. This makes it very stable and allows printing at extremely fast speeds. Creality says the K1 and K1 Max can print at speeds of up to 600mm/sec—about 12 times faster, at least on paper, than the Ender 3, which prints at around 50mm/sec.
The K1 Max is the upgrade to the K1 with a larger print area – 300 x 300 x 300mm as opposed to the K1’s 220 x 220 x 250mm – and some advanced features such as lidar for first layer correction and an AI camera that can detect errors in print while printing. These features are also available on the K1 as optional extras.
Creality has also announced several other 3D printers, laser cutters and other hardware — plenty of talk about all of them in detail here. CNET will test it as soon as it becomes available. Here’s a quick summary:
