Recently, some of the We at the WIRED Gear team were obsessed with AirPods cases. Not just any old cases, we’re talking about the ones that look like sneakers, candy, luggage, cell phones, and even junk mailboxes, allowing us to show off our personalities. Yes, I really love Spam so much that I will carry a packet on my person at all times. Are these statuses as charming, enduring, and protective in person as they appear online? To find out, we tested several Apple earbuds. These are our favorite odd cases for the standard AirPods (1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation) and AirPods Pro (1st and 2nd generation). We will continue to test more over the coming months.
